RE: Letter of Recommendation for Tim Ryan and Ryan Land Surveying

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to recommend the services of Ryan Land Surveying for the surveying and construction layout that is required on your project. I have worked with Mr. Ryan on the projects listed below and have firsthand knowledge of his exceptional abilities and the professional manner in which he performs his work:

  1. Stewart Station FGD project in Aberdeen, OH
  2. Clifty Creek FGD project in Madison, IN
  3. Meadow Lake Wind Farm Project near Lafayette, IN
  4. Goshen Waste Water CSO Project in Goshen, IN

At the above mentioned projects, Mr. Ryan demonstrated his skill and abilities in the following Surveying and Construction Layout activities:

  1. Set up for Initial control required for construction layout
  2. All layout required for excavation and form work of foundations
  3. Layout required to set anchor bolts, embedment plates, and other misc. items embedded into concrete with tolerance requirements as tight as one sixteenth of an inch
  4. As-build of foundations and embedded items within foundations
  5. Layout required for construction of auger cast piles
  6. Topography of existing ground profiles, and of material stock piles used to generate volume approximations
  7. Layout required for road construction

General Contractor

When my neighbors installed a new pool in their back yard, we both decided that a privacy fence between our yards would be the best option for ensuring we both had the privacy we needed to enjoy our yards without interfering with each other. But we didn’t know the location of the property line.

I contacted Ryan Land Surveying and asked Tim Ryan if they could survey the property lines. I warned him that the lot was on the circle of a cul-de-sac and that the terrain was very steep and undeveloped. He quoted a very reasonable price and said he would be able to complete the survey within 2 weeks.

Tim arrived the afternoon of 11-13-18 and was able to complete the survey that afternoon, despite the difficult terrain. I asked if he could include a few extra stakes so my neighbors and I could get a better feel for where the fence would be located and he was understanding and willing to do that. The PDF of the completed survey plat was sent via email the next day and I included it with the permit application for the new fence.

I was very impressed both by Tim’s professionalism and by his willingness to explain the terminology he used when discussing the plot lines and layout. I was also grateful that he took the time to show me the original markings he’d found and new ones he added. I would highly recommend Ryan Land Surveying.
